Home Sewn: Alabama’s Quilting Traditions

October 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This talk examines the changes in quilting and quilting technology from the 18th to 20th centuries through the eyes of the quilt collection at the Alabama Department of Archives and History.  At the end of the talk, Ryan will discuss best practices for documenting, storing, and preserving your antique (or future antique) quilts.  If you have questions about preserving your personal quilt, feel free to bring it!  All are welcome to this free program.

Sponsored by the Alabama Department of Archives and History and the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University
