Where to find a book in the library

In our Youth Services Department

FICTION authors are:

  • Listed in our catalog as JF
  • Located on the shelves on the side of the room with the computers
  • Shelved alphabetically by author’s last name

NONFICTION books are:

  • Listed in our catalog with “J” followed by their Dewey Decimal number
  • Located on the shelves between the windows and the Story Hour Room
  • Shelved according to the Dewey Decimal System

In the main area of the library

YOUNG ADULT books are:

  • Listed in our catalog as YA
  • Located on the shelves across from “New Books,” on the other side of the staircase
